The Boat

The  Vickie Ann is a 38 foot all fiberglass Bay built made  to fish the Chesapeake  Bay.

She has all the modern Electronics that include 32 mile radar, VHF dsc radio, 2 GPS units, and a fish finder. It also has a comfortable cabin with a Dinette and electric  Marine Head.  The boat can fish up to 25 rods during the spring trophy season with plenty of room on board for all 6 passengers to sit comfortably and out of any harsh weather. 

THE CAPTAIN

Was born and raised in Deale Md. I grew up working on the bay and as a teenager I started working Crabbing, Oystering and Fishing. At age 28, I left working on the water to work as Paid Firefighter with the Department of Navy. My last duty station was the US Navel Academy Fire Department  I retired as a Fire Captain in 2012.  I am also member with the Deale Volunteer Fire Department where I have served as a Firefighter, Driver, Fire Boat Captain, and all ranks to included Volunteer Fire Chief. In 2010, I received my U.S. Coast Guard Captains License and went back to the Bay Fishing and started Herring Bay Charters.

THE MATE

Raised locally in Galesville, MD, the 26 year old mate is a waterman and volunteer Lieutenant with the North Beach Fire Department. He has enjoyed being on the water since the age of 10. Working on and off the boat as a mate and DIspatcher since 2011, he is now a full-time mate that is currently getting certified to be a USCG licensed captain himself. He is an avid angler and waterfowl hunter.
